PRACTICAL LIFE
Practical life exercises enable the child to perfect his/her coordination while increasing the span of concentration. The child pays attention to detail as he/she follows a sequence of actions while performing simple tasks such as pouring, washing, polishing, sweeping, etc. the child develops a sense of confidence in him or herself when he/she learns to complete one activity and put away materials to begin another.
COMPUTERS
The young child learns to operate the classroom computer. The verbal response and bright graphics hold the child's interest while exposing him/her to a variety of learning experiences.
SENSORIAL
The sensorial materials in the Montessori class-room helps the child to distinguish, categorize, classify and relate new information to he/she already knows. Dr. Montessori established that this process is the beginning of conscious knowledge.
ARTS & CRAFTS
Our arts and crafts program includes developmental experiences in creative art.
MATHEMATICS
The basic operations of mathematics, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, are introduces to the young child by the manipulation of concrete materials. It has been proven that this hands on method of teaching mathematics is a great success.
CULTURAL STUDIES
A full Montessori cultural program rounds out the curriculum with basic art, music, geography, history, botany, biology, science, and special units. Complementary exercises and field trips help the child to gain a view of his own place and time in the universe.
LANGUAGE
The child in the Montessori classroom is introduced to the phonetic sounds of letters first before he/she learns of the alphabetical sounds in sequence. The child also learns how sounds are put together to form a word. This helps him/her later with spelling and word attack skills.

A warm and loving environment is essential to the growth of the young child and it is our first priority to make the child feel secure and loved. Each member of our staff is Montessori trained and has developed the maturity to be able to nurture a child while subtly encouraging his independence.
